Configure Currencies

Follow these steps to configure currencies on a Doofinder Search Engine:

1. Log in to Your Doofinder Account
   • Access your Doofinder account and navigate to the Admin Panel.
2. Create a New Search Engine (if needed)
   • Go to "Search Engines" and click on the dropdown menu to view current search engines.
   • Select "Create" if you need a new one.
   • Provide a name for your Search Engine.
   • Choose the appropriate language and currency from the dropdown options.
3. OR Edit Existing Search Engine Settings
   • If you want to adjust an existing search engine, select the desired search engine from the list.
   • Go to Settings > General.
   • Choose your preferred currency from the currency dropdown.
4. Associate the Search Engine with Your Store
   • Navigate to Store Settings and scroll down to Languages.
   • Select the currency you configured for the corresponding search engine.
5. Save Changes.

Price Fields in Doofinder

Doofinder uses three price fields for indexing:

• price: The standard price of a product.
• sale_price: The discounted or promotional price.
• best_price: Automatically generated as the lowest value between price and sale_price.

Pricing Logic

The price field selected for display is determined dynamically based on:

• The language code.
• The currency code.

This combination selects the most relevant search engine for the user's region or language preferences and ensures the proper price field is applied.
