Update Doofinder Script for JTL

To update the Doofinder script in JTL, you have two options: either reinstall the plugin or update the script manually.

Choose your preferred method and follow the corresponding steps below:

Reinstall Plugin

1. Go to your JTL backend and reinstall Doofinder's plugin.
2. Go to your Doofinder Admin Panel > click on Configuration on the left-side menu.
3. Select Store Settings > in General scroll down to Installation Script.

4. Verify the Single Script snippet is already in place.

   If your script looks like the second one, you will need to update your script. In this case, click on "Replace Script" and follow the steps on the pop-up.

   

Now you are all set to enjoy all the available features with the Single Script.

Manual Script Replacement

1. Go to your Doofinder Admin Panel > click on Configuration on the left-side menu.
2. Select Store Settings > in General scroll down to Installation Script.

3. Verify the Single Script snippet is already in place.

   If your script looks like the second one, you will need to update your script. In this case, click on "Replace Script" and follow the steps on the pop-up.

   

4. With the new Single Script in place click on "Copy".

5. Next, go to your website's HTML and remove the old script replacing it with the new Single Script.

Now you are all set to enjoy all the available features with the Single Script.

Updating the Script in JTL for Recommendations Compatibility

If you have updated the script to use Recommendations, you may need to clear the cache to ensure changes take effect. Be sure to clear the cache both on your server and within the plugin settings.

How to Identify Customizations in the Script?

You may have your script customized to meet the needs of your eCommerce. Updating the script will remove previous customizations of the following types:

• Hooks
• JavaScript Events, such as callbacks.
• Any customization that affects the search behavior, such as:
  • B2B personalized pricing
  • Hiding prices strategically
  • Showing Products to specific users
